What the official source reports
As of 28 August 2026, Kazakhstan had harvested 5.5 million hectares of grain crops, or 35.5% of the area. At an average yield of 14 centners per hectare, farmers had collected 7.7 million tonnes of grain versus 3.9 million tonnes at the comparable point a year earlier.
Early quality indicators
Licensed grain reception facilities had received 1.0252 million tonnes of the new crop. The Ministry of Agriculture reported that 78% of incoming soft wheat was graded Class 3, 14% Class 4 and 7% Class 5 or ungraded. Gluten content exceeded 28% in 56% of received soft wheat.
